❓Why sense-making conversations for Just Transitions?


Working with a Just Transition approach is challenging for leaders of local governments and organisations. Some barriers to working with this approach include a lack of shared definitions and frameworks to work with, as well as the tension and discomfort around this topic leading to the polarisation of conversations, and ultimately an inability for different actors to work in alignment.

For this, what follows are some conversation prompts to help you facilitate a space for dialogue and sense-making around how to include a Just Transitions lens in your City’s climate action. The objective of these conversation prompts is to kickstart conversations, to support different stakeholders in building a shared understanding and find alignment in their work.
